Titanium Tent Stakes (6-pack)
Aluminum tent stakes bend. Steel stakes are heavy. Titanium is the correct answer. The Alpine Folk Titanium Tent Stakes weigh 7g each — a complete set of 6 comes in at 42g, less than a single heavy steel stake. The shepherd hook profile works in most ground types from packed dirt to moderate sand.
The hook diameter is sized to accept standard guy-line loops and stake pullers. Stakes measure 18cm long. The anodized color makes them visible against forest duff and dead leaves (we have learned this from experience).
We ran these on the PCT section around Timberline in October — high camp, exposed ridge, wind gusts to 40mph. Six stakes, no movement, no bending. That's the test that matters.
The anodized finish resists corrosion. Stakes pack flat in the included mesh bag (included). Stake tip diameter: 3mm — narrow enough to push by hand in packed soil, strong enough not to deform under mallet force.
Best for: ultralight backpackers, fastpackers, and anyone who's lost a stake to soft alpine soil and doesn't plan to repeat it.
